Pure Ganoderma Science - Ganoderma Lucidum Studies & Cancer Research

Widely used through centuries for promotion of health and longevity in China – and named as the “mushroom of immortality”,  in the last 5 years, Reishi (Ganoderma) has attracted the attention of the scientific and medical community. There have been more than 2,000 peer-reviewed studies, clinical studies, abstracts and reviews. These have identified compounds within the spores that show remarkable pharmacological and therapeutic activities.

For example, compounds called triterpenes have been shown to detect and induce programmed cell death in wrongly proliferated cells, without harming healthy cells.

They have also been shown to act as a potent anti-oxidant by scavenging free radicals and protecting mitochondrial DNA. (Damage to mitochondrial DNA by free radicals is believed to be a major contributing factor to aging and disease).

And, polysaccharides contained within the spores have been shown to significantly enhance the host’s immune system, stimulating immune cells such as macrophages and natural killer (NK) cells.

Here are a broad range of studies demonstrating Reishi's latest results in immune surveillance, longevity studies, autoimmune, use during chemotherapy and more…  Learn More
